Begin 2 Run

Begin 2 Run in a safe, beautiful, and supportive environment!!!

Led by trainer Rhonda Burton. Rhonda has over 20 years experience. She’s coached people from the very beginning all the way to running marathons.

In this program, Rhonda will coach you from the very beginning of running ~ focusing on proper form and gate ~ with small progressions each time that will help you advance in a consistent way – leading you to success!

But wait, there’s more!!!

As a trainer, Rhonda knows how important it is to strengthen any weaknesses that may lead to injury if not addressed right at the beginning. This is why she is designing Begin 2 Run to include a training day in the Gabriola Fitness Centre. Through using the gym equipment and facility she will be able to work with you on an individual basis in a small group setting. This will support your trail running success even more!

With this program, you will not only learn and advance in trail running, but you will also receive personal training, learning safe ways to workout and use gym equipment in order to strengthen your body as you adapt to running!!!

What’s included:

8 weeks of training / 2 days per week – March 29 – May 19, 2023

Wednesdays @ 3:30 – 4:45 pm – trail run (location TBA)

Fridays @ 3:30 – 4:45 pm – gym day (location: Gabriola Fitness Centre)

Pricing:

Gabriola Fitness Members = 2 equal payments of $240 plus gst

Non-Members = 2 equal payments of $260 plus gst (includes key fob and gym membership for duration of training program)

Ready 2 Race

Ready 2 Race is for those looking to increase pace, turn over and add distance.

Led by trainer Rhonda Burton. Rhonda has over 20 years experience. She’s coached people from the very beginning all the way to running marathons.

Within the Ready 2 Race program, Rhonda will lead you through fartlek training and hill training while working towards building endurance to go beyond 10 km. She will focus on speed, tempo, gait, technique, and form challenging your speed, agility, power and reaction time. Runs will be on both trails and road combined.

As a trainer, Rhonda knows how important it is to strengthen any weaknesses that may lead to injury if not addressed right at the beginning. This is why she is designing Ready 2 Race to include a training day in the Gabriola Fitness Centre. Through using the gym equipment and facility she will be able to work with you on an individual basis in a small group setting. This will support your trail running success even more!

With this program, you will not only advance your running, but you will also receive personal training! Workouts will be Friday afternoons using gym equipment to strengthen as you adapt to running!!!
