The Gabriola Fitness Centre is your home away from home, let’s keep it clean for our friends!
DROP INS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME IN ANY OF THE CLASSES. IF YOU KNOW YOU WILL BE COMING TO A CLASS, PLEASE SIGN UP AHEAD OF TIME.
This will ensure your place in class and help ensure that the class will run. If there are less than 3 people signed up we may cancel the class. You can sign up online, by phoning, emailing, or in person. Online sign up - up to 2 hours prior ~ after 2 hours you will need to contact us directly to sign up. Note: if no one signed up for the class it may be cancelled.
TO CANCEL A CLASS YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR
You can cancel online, in person, by phone, or email with no charge up to 24hours in advance. If it is less than 24 hours notice you will be charged for the class. Spin classes have a no cancellation policy - once signed up for a spin class there is no cancellation and you will be charged for that class.
WE LOVE THAT YOU FEEL AT HOME ENOUGH...
to find a great spot to put your belongings and your shoes for when you return, but like any good home we also want to make sure there is room for everyone. Please bring all of your personal belongings with you. (If something is left for longer than two weeks we may donate it to a local charity). Thank you!
***Please do not wear heavily scented products when using the Gabriola Fitness Centre. This is a shared space and many members are sensitive to smells. Thank you for being considerate of others while working out.
Live Easy, Train Hard!
Class with Ivy Richardson
Train like a boxer! Learn boxing skills and techniques with champion boxer Ivy Richardson. No contact or sparring, training drills and technique only. All levels, absolute beginners welcome.
Class with Judy Chadwick
Let yourself be led through winding roads and climbing hills, an indoor cycling experience that will leave you exhilarated and wanting more! All levels welcome, including beginners!
Class with Mara Brenner
Learn basic moves to strengthen your core and gain mobility in you back, hips, legs, shoulders and arms. Ideal for seniors and rehab.
Classes with Tasha Mae
A recovery class for post work out, or everyday life stresses, bringing suppleness to body and mind. Access and expand mobility through myofascial release, (rolling, tapping, etc.) dynamic and static stretching.
Sunday Morning Yoga
Warm your soul while you flow through the Sun Salutations and standing postures with music. All levels welcome.
Awaken your senses with this exploration of syncing movement and breath. Focus on balance, flow, flexibility, strength and alignment, all within the fundamentals of yoga. Strong beginner to intermediate level.
Butts & Guts
Warm up with dynamic stretching then use resistance bands, dumbbells, and other equipment to isolate and strengthen core and glutes. This in turn will strengthen and support knees, pelvis, posture, and mobility. All fitness levels welcome.
High intensity interval training. All body weight exercises for a total body work out. Includes components of athleticism - strength, speed, power, agility and flexibility. Perfect for cross training or to amp up your current routine. Prepare to sweat and be challenged. 25s on & 15s rest, ending with 25 mins of yoga. Not for beginners - intermediate to advanced level.
Classes with Veronique Rioux
Full Body Toning
Low impact exercises that will sculpt and tone the entire body, while working on strength, endurance, mobility and balance. This class is appropriate for all fitness level.
Grooving to the beats of salsa, flamenco, and meringue music feels more like a dance party than a workout! Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party!
