The ins and outs

PLEASE WEAR CLEAN GYM SHOES WHEN USING OUR FACILITY
The Gabriola Fitness Centre is your home away from home, let’s keep it clean for our friends!

WE REQUIRE YOU TO SIGN UP FOR YOUR CLASS AHEAD OF TIME
This will ensure your place in class and help ensure that the class will run. If no one is signed up we may cancel the class. You can sign up online, by phoning, emailing, or in person. Online sign up - up to 2 hours prior ~ after 2 hours you will need to contact us directly to sign up. Note: if no one signed up for the class it may be cancelled.

TO CANCEL A CLASS YOU ARE SIGNED UP FOR
You can cancel online, in person, by phone, or email with no charge up to 24hours in advance. If it is less than 24 hours notice you will be charged for the class. Spin classes have a no cancellation policy - once signed up for a spin class there is no cancellation and you will be charged for that class.

WE LOVE THAT YOU FEEL AT HOME ENOUGH...
to find a great spot to put your belongings and your shoes for when you return, but like any good home we also want to make sure there is room for everyone. Please bring all of your personal belongings with you. (If something is left for longer than two weeks we may donate it to a local charity). Thank you!

Live Easy, Train Hard!

BellyFit

with Maria Elena
A safe, effective, fun way to get the sweat flowing, with cardio moves, infused with ancient and beautiful fundamentals of Belly Dance, Bollywood and African Dance. Enjoy sculpting, toning and tightening with weights ( optional) or own body resistance. Pilates inspired core work, and finishing this whole body/mind/spirit workout, with a yoga inspired stretch and mindful Mudra meditation. All levels of ability, shape, age, welcome.

Full Body Toning

with Veronique Rioux
Interval training plus low impact exercises using stability balls, mats, weights, body and ballet barres.

HIIT (high intensity interval training and yoga)

with Tasha Mae
The first half of this class is interval training - includes a warm up, 25 seconds of an exercise with 15 second break - all body weight exercises, no equipment used - the second half is cooling down with yoga. Not for beginner level - intermediate to advanced.

Spin Class

Sunday Morning Yoga - all levels welcome

Warm your soul while you flow through the Sun Salutations and standing postures with music. All levels welcome.

Yin Yoga with Emilie Shrier

An all-levels class class that focuses on developing mindfulness. Each practice includes a short guided meditation, floor stretches with the use of blocks and straps, and some deep breathing exercises. No experience necessary.

Zumba

Grooving to the beats of salsa, flamenco, and meringue music feels more like a dance party than a workout! Forget the workout, just lose yourself in the music and find yourself in shape at the original dance-fitness party!

Zumba Gold

with Mary Keel
Active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower-intensity. The design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. All done to Latin American music!

50+ Spin Class

with Danielle Nicholson
All levels welcome - including beginners!
